Last week we were delighted to welcome His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, The Countess Howe, to LundHalsey’s UK headquarters and manufacturing site in Aylesbury to formally present The King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade 2025.

We were also honoured to be joined by the High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, the Mayor of Aylesbury, the Vice Chairman of Buckinghamshire Council and colleagues, making the occasion a proud moment for the business and the community where LundHalsey began.

In the presentation speech, The Countess Howe reflected on the prestige of the Award and the achievement it represents, placing LundHalsey among a small and highly respected group of winners:

“Today we are recognising a company whose journey from humble beginnings to global prominence exemplifies the very best of British innovation and excellence.”

The address also noted the national scale of the Award, with only 161 UK businesses receiving the International Trade Award this year.

Founded in Aylesbury in 1983, LundHalsey has spent more than 40 years designing and manufacturing mission-critical control-room consoles for some of the world’s most demanding environments. Today our solutions support operations across aviation, defence, broadcast, energy, security and transport, with installations in more than 60 countries worldwide.

Our CEO, Charles Evett, reflected on what this means for the company and the people behind it:

“To receive the King’s Award for Enterprise is a tremendous honour and a proud moment for everyone at LundHalsey. It reflects not only our commercial success overseas, but also the dedication, professionalism and expertise of our entire team. That team achievement sits at the heart of this recognition. This Award belongs to everyone who has helped shape LundHalsey’s international growth — past and present — and to the partners and clients around the world who trust LundHalsey to support their most critical operational environments.”

Sincere thanks again to The Countess Howe, the High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire Pippa Kirkbride, the Mayor of Aylesbury Nidhi Mehta and Cllr John Chilver – Vice Chairman of Buckinghamshire Council and colleagues for visiting us to make the presentation in person, and for taking the time to meet the people behind our success, which was a real highlight for everyone.
