Recently launched to great reviews at Intersec Dubai and ISE Barcelona, OPTIMA redefines what’s possible in mission-critical environments – combining exceptional usability with a sleek, architectural aesthetic that is visually striking.

Developed with direct input from operators, integrators, and project stakeholders, OPTIMA focuses on optimising the daily experience of those working in 24/7/365 high-pressure, high-focus environments. From precision sit-stand adjustability and optimised sightlines to intuitive equipment access and seamless workflow integration, every element is engineered to support performance and reduce fatigue.
The result is a refined, high-performance console that embodies both function and form. Built with premium materials and a clean architectural silhouette, OPTIMA enhances not only operator efficiency but the wider environment – delivering a professional space that instils confidence and aligns with the technological identity of its users.
A Floating Console That Redefines the Workspace
One of OPTIMA’s most striking innovations is its ‘floating’ form – a structure that eliminates the visual and physical bulk of traditional consoles to create a more open, accessible, and modern working environment. This wasn’t simply about design aesthetics; it was an intelligent response to the realities of control room infrastructure, particularly sub-floor systems.
“We developed a bold and radical engineering solution,” says David Robinson of LA Design, “that not only improves accessibility and comfort but integrates cleanly into the wider architectural space. Every component has a defined purpose—from material selection to installation – resulting in a console that feels intuitive, adaptable and future-ready.”
Intelligent Innovation for Today and Tomorrow
OPTIMA introduces a refined new design language, featuring discreet equipment bays, concealed cable routing, and a design that simplifies installation and supports future upgrades and adaptability. It reflects LundHalsey Labs’ commitment to innovation that delivers tangible, long-term value for control room users and delivery partners alike.
Charles Evett adds: “We listened closely to those who operate and install our consoles. OPTIMA is the result – an intelligent solution that enhances everyday performance while making installation and ongoing integration simpler and more efficient.”
Available In Two Configurations
- OPTIMA Float – A unique built-in, ‘floating’ console designed for installation on false or concrete floors. Its architectural structure offers optimised installation and enhances accessibility and space efficiency. Available in sit-stand and fixed-height options.
- OPTIMA Free – A freestanding version that retains the signature OPTIMA design while offering increased layout flexibility. Also available in sit-stand and fixed-height options.
Tailored Design with Canvas
To give organisations greater control over the look, feel, and function of their space, OPTIMA introduces the new LundHalsey Canvas design system – a suite of panel customisation options that includes acoustic panelling, privacy screens, high-end material finishes, and integrated LED accent lighting to support branding and indicate operational state.
Will Lund explains, “OPTIMA is more than just a workstation; it had to be a seamless extension of the operator’s workflow. With ‘Canvas’, we’re enabling our customers to tailor their consoles like never before – blending technology, design, and brand identity into a cohesive and stunning control room experience.”
